Assalamualaikum and hello bloggers. Okay, entry untuk kali ni saya nak share mengenai IT. Okay, do you know what is Information Technology?? Why we need to study IT?? The answer is simple, it is because technology nowadays is everywhere. In business also we use technology.
Information technology basics are :
1) Information Technology (IT)- a field concerned with use of technology in managing and processing information.
2) Management Information system (MIS)- business function and academic discipline covering the application of people, technology and procedures.
To be more further, in IT, we also need to learn :
1) Data, information, and business intelligence
2) IT resources
3) It cultures
Data is raw facts that describes something. For example, date or name. Information is data that converted into meaningful context. And business intelligence are applications that are use to gather, provide and analyze data and information. Thus, the data will be more deepen and more meaningful.
IT resources is where people use the information technology to work with information. What I understand is, for example we search some information from wikipedia. From there, we get the information.
In IT cultures, there have four types of information :
Information Functional Culture is where employees use information to influence the others. From my point of view, I put insurance as example. back then people know that insurance are not important, but nowadays it is important so they need it.
Information sharing cultures is where across the department, they must trust each other to improve their performance to used the information.
Information inquiring cultures, from my point of view is where employees find more information to be more understand about the future. That's mean, they know what they can they do in future.
Information discovery cultures is a ways to create competitive advantages. They will get many and new perceptions.
That's all what I understand about first chapter. Next, with the new entry :)
